The thermometer is easy to read and replaces a metal thermometer that was beginning to rust. The new thermometer has a plastic body, so rust won’t be an issue.

I gave this item 4 stars simply because it stated it was an outdoor thermometer and I assumed it would have a bracket or something to make outdoor mounting easy. Instead it fastens with one screw that slides into a notch on the rear. Almost impossible to place outside a window and be able to view it. Other than that its a fine low cost instrument.
