Monster iCarPlay Portable 300 FM Transmitter for iPod and iPhone

This is not a bad product. However, it is a bit frustrating when you a driving a somewhat long distance and have to constantly change the station it is set to. I’m sure all products like this are similar though.

For the price and not having wires attached product works well.
There seems to be a delay sometimes before it picks up station which is reason for 3 stars.

Bad product, never got a channel that was clear, it sounded horrible, only static was what I heard out of this product, not to mention how dangerous it is when you constantly have to change the channel while driving just when you thought you found a channel that was going to work, but no channel ever sounded good enough. If I had to describe this product with one word it would be, static! Needless to say I am going to try get my money back! Thank you hope this helps =)

Normally I consider Monster branded items overpriced and questionable quality but I was very
impressed with the icarPlay Wireless 300. It connected to my Iphone 3GS no problems and was very simple.
Just press a button and tune your car radio to the same station and you are done. Sound quality was okay but i did
get some static but that dissappeared after re-positioning my Iphone. For short trips where battery life is not a concern
this product cant be beat. No ugly wires and a clear digital readout was enough for me to give it a try. Try it and i am sure it will be a keeper.

I don’t usually leave reviews for products, however I figured I should do so for this product as I found the reviews out there kind of misleading, and I figured that other people shouldn’t spend $40 and then be disappointed as I was (especially since monster usually delivers first class products).
Okay, I thought I should note that the product did break down after several days of use, however that is not the reason I gave it one star (as this happens sometimes with the best of companies and products, just a thing called life…).
My issue was the quality of the sound which was beyond bad and staticy, at certain times other radio stations constantly overlapped with my ipod while driving (very short distances). I tried every channel available, with very little improvement.
Another important issue for me was the fact that it feeds of your battery charge, monsters review claimed that it uses minimal power charge off the ipod, however the truth of the matter is that it shortens your ipod charge time to over half! I usually get over 8 hours of non stop music on one charge. And with this transmitter I got just a little over 2.5 hours (big difference). My friend ordered it the same time I did, and as his did not break down after a few days, the charging option via USB did not work (and neither did mine by the way, however I just let it slide by), everything else was identical. Hope this review helps you in deciding which product is right for you, as I mentioned earlier I wish I would have known all this prior to purchasing it.
Best of luck to all of you.
