I liked this bag…its much sturdier than most other laptop bags. However, after a year and a half the zipper has broken as well as the hand strap. I’ve had laptop bags last much longer than this.

I am using this for almost 1 year and till now I didnt face any issue. I travel by metro for my work and this bag has sustained that.
If you are looking to add books, food etc.. then this may not suite you due to the compact size.

It took me awhile to decide on a laptop bag when I recently visited my local computer store. With over two dozen different varieties of over-the-shoulder bags, backpacks, traditional briefcases, and bike courier-influenced “sling” bags, I was a little overwhelmed. Then I came across this rather unassuming backpack sitting in the corner. It said it was designed for 15.4″ laptops, and with my 15″ MacBook Pro, I gave it a shot. Immediately I was impressed with the pack’s sturdiness. Especially when it came to the top and bottom of the pack – where your pack is most likely to sustain the most impact if it’s dropped. In both areas, the Tropolis 1250 exceeded all the other bags in the store. A strong, stiff frame keeps the bag fully expanded at all times, and when the laptop is put into the pocket in the main compartment, you will feel a sense of security as you realize hardly anything is going to damage your valuable item. The front compartment is extremely nice for us in the IT industry – I can easily carry a set of tools, screws, measuring tape, RJ45 crimper and jacks, cables and just about any other small tool needed for the job. The cushioning on the back of the bag is excellent, nearly on par with high end weekend camping packs – breathable but extremely soft and supple padding will have your shoulders thanking you after that long walk. While the overall design may not appeal to more “trendy” laptop users, this is definitely the most utilitarian, protective and helpful laptop bag I’ve had the pleasure to come across and I’m now a very proud owner. This is one fantastic bag!! It has a pocket for everything I need and a nice secure compartment for my laptop. The only design flaw is the removeable pouch for chords. I wish it was the bottom of the bag rather than the top. If you think about it, the cord is the last item you take out and the first item you put into a laptop bag. If you’re on the train (for you commuters), you only access your laptop and papers, not your cords so they should be at the bottom somewhere. But overall, it’s a fantastic bag. Fits and feels perfect.
