Purchased this product to charge/sync iPhone 3GS and iTouch 3rd Gen. This product is well constructed and works great with both devices, no errors. Will purchase more.

I saw a review of this item disparaging the flimsiness of the apple oem product. It helped me to decide to buy this cable but it was a big mistake. This big bulky belkin product damaged the bus on my iphone 3gs affecting the speaker which now sometimes me to fiddle with the bus to make the speaker work.
Needless to say I despise this product. I don’t recommend it.
Previously I used a Griffin made cable which, by the way is very similar to the apple oem one BUT has button activated prongs which secure the bus to the iphone device and have had no problems whatsoever.
I highly recommend either the Griffin or the Apple products.
Granted, I would like a longer cable, which is why I purchased this one. I’ll be looking for the Griffin version of it.

Like everyone else I got the standard data cable for my iPhone. When I went to the AT & T store to get another little accessory I asked about a longer cable primarily. The manager showed me this Belkin cable. I bought it for about twice the price offered on Amazon. Still at that price it is great. Improvements: Longer and much needed! Sturdier by far! Great, heavy “spring connector” going into the phone slot. The weak area if you use your data cable alot – for Kindle, IPODS or anything that uses this kind of cord is the connector gets abit less strong and the connection is not tight. Not a secure feeling. This cable has a much sturdier, stronger plug to the phone and I am so happy to have found it. Thanks Belkin!

My husband and I got these to replace the Apple cables that came with our iPhones. Those have a nice, velvety feel, move nicely and have very small, easy to fit plug ends. But, ergonomics aside, they’re not durable. They have a bit of wobble at the plug and the point where the cable casing met the plug split apart and exposed the wiring. This is fine, but shortly thereafter, the twisted strand wire began to shred as well. We bought some cheapy replacement cables that were retractable. Great idea, but terrible quality. They also did not fit into my Otterbox Defender case.
These arrived about three weeks ago and are very nice! They have a shiny, smooth finish, and are much thicker cables than the stock ones. For that reason, they are also a bit stiffer. It is slightly unhandy when using the phone plugged in, but is still totally doable. I suppose that’s the price you pay for durability. These cables fit snugly into the port created by the Otterbox folks and thus I am a very happy customer.
Great replacement cable, you won’t be disappointed. I foresee this cable withstanding quite a bit of use.
